# Guilds

Guilds in Spellborne are not just social groups—they are **economic and strategic entities** with their own governance, revenue models, and competitive wars. At the core of this system are **Guild Tokens**, player-minted assets that connect guild performance with speculation, governance, and long-term engagement.

### **Guild Tokens**

#### **Creation & Backing**

* Guild Tokens are minted using the **$BORNE token**, ensuring direct demand for the game’s primary currency.
* Each guild sets its own **initial supply** and **distribution model**.
* Tokens can be acquired by guild members, allies, or external speculators.

#### **Utility**

1. **Speculation Layer**
   * Players outside the guild can buy tokens to **speculate on guild performance** in Guild Wars and seasonal events.
   * Value fluctuates based on wins, territory control, and guild treasury growth.
2. **Governance Layer**
   * Within the guild, tokens act as **voting power**.
   * Used for decisions such as:
     * Market fee structures in **Kanta Trader marketplaces**.
     * Treasury allocations (e.g., prize payouts, NFT purchases, upgrades).
     * War strategies and alliances.
3. **Economic Layer**
   * Tokens can be staked for yields tied to guild performance.
   * Revenue streams (from markets or wars) can be distributed back to holders.

#### **Overview**

Guild Wars are large-scale, seasonal competitions where guilds fight for **control, prestige, and economic dominance**.

**Rewards**:

* $BORNE payouts to guild treasuries.
* Increased demand for guild tokens through higher speculation value.

#### **Player Roles in Wars**

* **Guild Members**: Contribute directly in battles, farming resources, or supporting logistics.
* **Speculators**: Back guilds by purchasing their tokens, betting on success.
