# Economy

The economy of Spellborne is a **living, player-driven ecosystem** centered on monsters, resources, guilds, and tokens. Every action—from catching and breeding monsters, to trading items, to participating in guild markets—shapes the flow of value across the game.

The design ensures that **every system feeds into another**, creating continuous demand, scarcity, and meaningful progression.

***

### **TL;DR**

* **Monsters are the foundation**: captured, bred, traded, and minted into NFTs.
* **$BORNE is the backbone**: earned through gameplay, spent across markets, guilds, PvP, and progression.
* **Player-driven economy**: scarcity, guild governance, and continuous demand ensure sustainability.

***

### **Tokenomics**

BORNE is the **primary utility token** of the Spellborne ecosystem and the broader **Mon Studios game universe**. It underpins progression, trading, guild systems, and multi-game integration, while maintaining a strictly **non-governance, utility-first role**.

| Allocation | Supply | Vesting |
| -------------------- | ------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Airdrop | 12.5% | Fully Unlocked |
| Gameplay Fund | 37.5% | 10% at TGE, followed by 36 months of vesting |
| Development Fund | 15% | Vested over 36 months |
| Ecosystem Fund | 5% | Vested over 48 months |
| Investors & Advisors | 30% | 1.6% at TGE, 4-6 months of cliff, followed by 18 months of vesting |

\*Tokens unlocked at TGE are expected to be lower than estimate, as players have already spent over 2.7% supply in the game, locking them back into the gameplay rewards pool.

The Gameplay fund is refilled via player actions such as Chest speed ups, marketplace fees, minting fees and more, it is used to provide incentives and rewards for PvP Chests, Guild Events, tournaments and liquidity incentives.

### **Earning $BORNE**

Players generate $BORNE through gameplay and participation:

* **Trading Monsters & Items** – Exchange monsters, consumables, and resources in marketplaces.
* **Seasonal & Leaderboard Events** – Compete in limited-time challenges with token rewards.
* **Guild Wars** – Earn rewards through large-scale guild battles and territory control.
* **PvP Leagues** – Fight other players, climb the leaderboard, and earn chests with $BORNE prizes.

### **$BORNE Utility**

BORNE fuels progression, trading, and engagement across Spellborne and future Mon Studios titles.

* **Mint & Trade Monsters** – Convert monsters into NFTs for trading and speculation.
* **Progression Purchases** – Buy the **Stellar Pass**, **Gold Nuggets**, and special bundles.
* **Marketplace Activity** – Buy/sell monsters, tools, consumables, cosmetics.
* **Speed-Ups** – Accelerate PvP chest unlocks, crafting, and other timed systems.
* **Guild Tokens** – Create guild-specific tokens, fueling speculation and governance in guild DAOs.

**Cross-Game Utility** – Will extend to future Mon Studios games such as *Guardians of Celestia* and *Spellborne Rogue*.
